Smart IPTV missing from your Samsung TV?
In short: Smart IPTV has come and gone from Samsung TVs before, and owners have reported it vanishing after updates since at least 2018. Today its developer lists a version 3.1.3 for Samsung TVs from 2022 on, installed fresh from the store. So check the store first. If you'd rather not depend on the store, or pay per TV, opencream TV is a free, open-source player you install once from a computer. It also gives you a calm home screen. Neither app includes channels.
First, check whether you can get it back
If your TV is from 2022 or newer, Smart IPTV's site says a new version (3.1.3) is in Samsung's app store. It's a fresh install rather than an update to the older 3.0.105 version. Search the store on your TV for it.
If it's there and you're happy with it, that's the simplest fix.
Side by side

What opencream TV does differently
You pay nothing per TV. opencream TV is free on every TV in the house. If you like it, you can tip the maker a coffee.
It doesn't come and go with the store. You install it once from a computer. Store changes and store removals don't affect it. A factory reset or an uninstall removes it, like any app, and you reinstall the same way.
It is your home screen too. Live TV, Movies and Series sit on the same row as YouTube, Netflix and your consoles. You can set the TV to start in it. The remote's Home button still opens Samsung's home.
It keeps playing when a server drops. Enter several server addresses separated by commas, and playback moves to the next one if a server stops answering.
It starts channels quickly. The TV's own hardware player does the work. On our 2023 QN90C a channel starts in about a second.

When Smart IPTV is the better choice
- Your TV is from 2022 or newer, the store has it, and you prefer an app from the store.
- You don't want to use a computer or turn on Developer Mode.
- Your TV is from before 2019. opencream TV doesn't install there.
Switching
- Get your Xtream Codes login from your provider: server address, username, password. If they only gave you an M3U link, ask whether they also offer an Xtream login.
- Install opencream TV. About 20 minutes the first time.
- Type the login into the installer's form or on the TV.
- Hold OK on the channels you watch most to make them favorites.
